Fujian University of Technology is located in the historic city
of Fuzhou, Fujian Province which is perched along the southeast
coast of China. The University was set up in March 2002 by merging
Fujian Polytechnic College and Fujian College of Architecture and
Civil Engineering, which were once under one roof of "Fujian
Gaogong", a nationally renown school before the founding of
PRC. "Fujian Gaogong" originated from "Cangxia Jingshe"(Fujian
Cangxia Technical School, co-founded in 1896 by Lin Shu, the eminent
Fujian gentry and Chen Baochen, the tutor for the last emperor of
Qing Dynasty).
Today, the University also has
a reputation for excellence in other fields including engineering,
architecture , economics , management, Jurisprudence and Literature.
At present, the University is made up of 12 academic departments£¬
2 teaching divisions and 1 school, namely, Department of Electromechanical
and Automation Engineering, Department of Computer and Information
Science, Department of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering,
Department of Economic Management, Department of Modern Media, Department
of Jurisprudence, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of
Architecture and Planning, Department of Engineering Management,
